The Tale of an Inspirational Banana

If you are in the mood for it, here’s something very inspirational and weird and funny… But mostly just weird. ๐Ÿ˜‚

It all started…

*cue dramatic music*

…when I found a nice sketchbook. At a thrift store. And being the crazy sketchbook-hoarder that I am, I bought it.

It was entirely empty except the very back page, which was truly an artistic work of wonder.

It was a very, very sad… banana? I think?

I tore it out, not caring that the sketchbook wasn’t perfect. But then I started to imagine the story behind how the sketchbook, banana-and-all, ended up at the thrift store…

They had dreams of becoming a famous artist. They finally dove in and bought their first sketchbook then found a pencil. It was time for their first drawing, time to let that artistic genius out. It would be perfect.

They began drawing a still-life banana (you know, it could actually be a canoe, now that I think about it…). They even added shading to it. But it was not what they set out for it to be. Not even close.ย

It became a joking story between my siblings and I that the poor person drew one bad banana and gave up on their dreams and never drew again. It is a very sad cautionary tale.

I hung the banana drawing as a joke, to remind me to keep drawing and never give up.

So today I’m sharing that message with you. So inspirational, don’t you think? XDD

Just look at this sad banana on my wall. It’s reminding you to never give up on your dreams even when things don’t turn out.

-Peace out-

  2. I LOVE this especially because my mind would have gone in exactly the same direction and the banana probably would have ended up on my wall too XDDD

Yes, it’s amazing! I’m sometimes inspired by a song, or even just a strangely-shaped knot of wood that looks like a picture!
